Schola at 65 - Alumni Main Event InvitationSchola is delighted to invite alumni and alumnae to attend a 65th Anniversary Reunion in Oxford on Saturday 3 May 2025. The event will consist of a public evening concert in Oxford Town Hall with period instrument orchestra Instruments of Time & Truth.
The repertoire is JS Bach: 'Magnificat' and 'Tönet, ihr Pauken!', a secular cantata, parts of which were re-used for the 'Christmas Oratorio'. Members of the current choir will also sing Bach's motet 'Der Geist hilft'. The cost for participating alumni singers is £55, including hire of music and 'afternoon tea' (sandwiches, scones and cake) in the Town Hall after the Saturday afternoon rehearsal. Alumni who left the choir in 2020 or later qualify for a concessionary price of £35. Guest tickets for the 'afternoon tea' can also be purchased for friends or partners. To take part, please use the link below to purchase a ticket. The closing date is midnight on Monday 21 April. Places will generally be allocated on a 'first come first served' basis. As we near the deadline, we may have to restrict the numbers on some parts to ensure a balanced choir, so please book early to ensure your place.
