Event Sign-Up Form 2018Schola is delighted to invite alumni to attend a reunion in Oxford on Saturday 16 June. The event will consist of a morning rehearsal and a public lunch-time concert (to include Spem in Alium and a new 40 part motet by David Bednall), followed by an afternoon rehearsal and recording of a new piece by James Burton. Friends and supporters of Schola can also register to join in the performance of Spem in Alium, as 'Come and Sing' participants, for which there will be a separate rehearsal at St Mary Magdalen in the morning.
Schedule for the day 10.00 - 11.30 Current choir + Schola Alumni rehearse Spem in Alium and Lux orta est iusto in Sheldonian 'Come and Sing' participants rehearse Spem in Alium in St Mary Magdalen 11.45 - 12.15 Tutti rehearse Spem in Alium in Sheldonian 12.30 - 13.15 Lunchtime concert, to include a performance by the current choir from the repertoire for their China tour. 14.30 - 16.30, venue tbc Current choir + Schola Alumni rehearse and record a new piece composed by James Burton. The recording will be sent to Jamie in Boston. The closing date is midnight on Sunday 3 June, but late applications, especially from tenors and basses, will be considered sympathetically.
